Something Radical

What if we do something radical? Something that transforms our culture and the way people interact with each other?

Are you ready for this radical thing?

Here it is:

What if, before we act, we consider the best interest of others, and not ourselves?

What if we consider how our words will impact the person we’re talking to, how our actions will affect someone else’s life?

What if, instead of making it about us, it’s about them: our neighbor.

“Let love be without hypocrisy. Abhor what is evil; cling to what is good. Be devoted to one another in brotherly love; give preference to one another in honor…” Romans 12:9-10

God is working in my heart regarding this. I want to be a person whose words and actions flow from my love for God. I want to focus more on Jesus and loving others, and less on self.

Jesus died for everyone. Those we might consider enemies, He loves. Let us not pass judgement on others. Instead, let us love each other, and see how this radical way of life transforms our communities for the better.

Matthew 22:37-39:

And He said to him, “‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ This is the great and foremost commandment. The second is like it, ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’”
