Don’t Be Afraid

In Luke 8:41, a man named Jairus fell at Jesus’ feet and pleaded with him to come to his house, because his 12-year-old daughter was dying.

While they were on their way, someone came from Jairus’ house and said, “Your daughter is dead…Don’t bother the teacher any more,” (Parts of Luke 8:49).

“Hearing this, Jesus said to Jairus, ‘Don’t be afraid; just believe, and she will be healed,’” (Luke 8:50).

The world may try to say, “Don’t bother,” “It’s impossible,” or “It’s over.” With God, NOTHING is impossible. When opposition comes and tries to shake us, we can remain firmly standing upon Christ. He is our Rock and firm Foundation. We can remain fearless, because we know Who He is. He is faithful.

When the world tries to tell you that your prayer is impossible, remember what Jesus said: “Don’t be afraid; just believe,” (Mark 5:36b).
