There are various musical challenges that have appeared over the years. These range from a squat challenge designed for execution during Moby’s, “Flower” (aka: “Bring Sally Up”), to a plank challenge choreographed to the beat of Cupid’s, “Cupid Shuffle.” Last night, I created a push-up/plank challenge that I completed for the first time today. If you’re interested, give it a shot and see how it goes!

The Song: “Blue” by Eiffel 65.

How it Works: Start in a plank position with your arms fully extended. Each time you hear the word “blue,” move down or up. The first time “blue” appears, lower yourself into the bottom of a triceps push-up position (without letting your torso touch the ground). Your elbows should be right beside your body with your upper arm parallel to the floor. When “blue” is sung again, push yourself back up into the plank position. Continue through the full song.

Option: As an alternative, consider performing this challenge with your knees on the floor. Follow the same guidelines as above.
